Black & White

Can you see her
like a photograph
in my words tonight?

Can you see
how the silver night
slips from her eyes
like a dream
and kisses her lips,
How it peeks through
the night of locks
and flows undressing
all veils of dark
across a silken spine.

Don’t let it loose.

For it will roll down
her nervous neck
like untamed waterfalls
meandering into
that naughty creek,
Running down
the valley by those
forbidden peaks
into soft grazing plains
to far volcanoes of life.

Can you see her
like that photograph
made in black and white?
